Why I loved South Tyneside (STIAC) Competition!

As a young gymnast from Scotland, I have had the opportunity to compete in various competitions all over the UK, but South Tyneside (STIAC) holds a special place in my heart.

Now i also must say that every competition i have been to has equally been as good however, it was here that I won my very first Gold Medal, which makes this event even more memorable for me. Here are a few reasons why South Tyneside stands out for me:

1. Exciting Atmosphere

The energy at South Tyneside is electrifying! The supportive crowd, enthusiastic coaches, and fellow gymnasts create an environment that is both motivating and inspiring, and the venue is also great both for us gymnasts competing but also for the spectators.

2. High-Level Competition

Competing against very talented gymnasts from different regions pushes me to improve my skills. The level of competition is challenging, which helps me grow as a gymnast.

3. Beautiful Location

South Tyneside is a picturesque place. The scenic views along the beach front and the sea air make the experience enjoyable outside of the competition itself.

4. Well-Organised Event

The organisation of the competition is exceptional. From the scheduling to the judging, everything runs smoothly, allowing me to focus on my performances (mostly..!) without unnecessary stress.

5. Personal Growth

Every year, I learn something new about myself and my gymnastics at South Tyneside. Whether it’s overcoming nerves, mental blocks or achieving a personal best, the competition helps me grow both as a gymnast and as an individual.

6. Friendships and Camaraderie

The friendships I’ve formed with fellow competitors are invaluable. We share our experiences, cheer each other on, and celebrate our successes together, creating lasting bonds way beyod the competition itself.

Conclusion

In conclusion, South Tyneside is more than just a competition for me, it’s an event that embodies growth, friendship, and the joy of gymnastics. Winning my first Gold Medal here makes it even more special, and I look forward to returning each year and making more memories! And hopefully more Gold Medals…!
